Trees are one of the most essential part of our lives, but unfortunately there are only few remaining with improper care. In today’s world where a human does not even have time to think about about it’s surroundings but, only thinks where he sees drastic change in the climatic conditions.
Belgaum in the recent years is facing heat and drastic climatic change conditions due to lack of trees in the city. The Smart City development is almost cutting trees without keeping any concern about the future.
We as citizens are already facing the climatic changes in the surrounding with drastic heat rise. At least for now people should think twice before cutting unnecessary cutting of trees.
Some of the ways to increase greenery in the our surroundings-
1- Gift a plant sapling/ seeds of plants instead of costly gifts.
2- Stop cutting unnecessary cutting of trees.
3- Every Sunday as a hobby can plant trees in garden, surroundings as a part of community
4- Teach children as a play activity to plant trees.
Team Marvelous Belgaum submitted letters to the DC and the City Corporation Commissioner of Belgaum requesting them to pay attention to the cutting down of trees.
Smart city projects in the name of widening the roads, or making high ways, clearance, etc are continuously chopping down the trees. This will affect the city and the people in the long run.
