Belagavi: A tragic accident claimed the life of a 10-year-old schoolboy and left two other students seriously injured after a cement-laden truck toppled near Sirgur village in Raibag taluk on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on a curve along the Kuduchi–Jamkhandi road when the truck reportedly lost balance and overturned, hitting children who were walking to school. Amit Kamble (10) was crushed under the vehicle and died on the spot.
Two other students, Anjali Kamble and Avinash Kamble, sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in Harugeri, where they are undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
