Following the inspection, the Lokayukta had registered a suo motu case under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act and issued notices to senior officials, including the principal secretary (medical education), director of medical education, and BIMS authorities. They were directed to appear in person and submit compliance reports.
Authorities have now submitted detailed reports, along with photographic evidence, confirming that all issues have been addressed. Major infrastructure problems such as seepage, water leakages, and structural defects in the Mother and Child Health (MCH) block have been resolved through repairs, pipe replacements, and installation of truss structures.
Administrative improvements have also been implemented, including streamlining the pharmacy sub-store and introducing an e-pharmacy system for transparent medicine distribution. Officials stated that no expired medicines were found, indicating better inventory management.

In addition, two abandoned children under hospital care were safely handed over to the women and child development department and admitted to a care institution. The hospital also conducted 17 health camps under the ‘Arogya Nandana Shibira’ initiative.
The Lokayukta, taking note of the corrective measures, has directed authorities to maintain infrastructure, hygiene, and quality healthcare services, and to ensure such lapses do not recur.
