Belagavi — The Excise Department has invited applications for liquor shop licences through an e-auction process for pending and unapproved licences in Belagavi district.

A total of 21 licences will be auctioned. Of these, 11 licences in Belagavi South district, including CL-2A and CL-9A categories across various excise zones, will be auctioned on January 20, 2025 through the MSTC Limited e-portal.
In Belagavi North district (Chikkodi division), 10 CL-2A licences across Athani, Chikkodi, Gokak, Hukkeri and Raibag excise zones will be auctioned on January 16, 2026, also through the MSTC e-portal.
To facilitate participation, a training programme on the e-auction process will be held on January 3, 2026, at the Zilla Panchayat Hall, Office Galli, Belagavi. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend.
For further information, applicants may contact the Deputy Commissioner of Excise offices in Belagavi South or Belagavi North (Chikkodi), according to an official release.
