Asha Patravali who hales from our city Belgaum has made many toys from ‘wool’ by her fascinating theme ‘pumpkin’. She has kept her creative toys collections at her place in Tilakwadi, Somwar Peth, which is attracting people because of her creativity and skills. She started experimenting with the cartoon themes also, which bought more varieties of toys . It took her almost 2 months to complete 28 types of wollen toys with various themes such as elephant, tortoise, rat, cat and especially inspired by our childhood story of the grandmother and the pumpkin.
She has even bagged with many awards and also made her place in the ‘Limca Book’ and other various record books. With her creativity she is teaching other women to stitch these creative toys which is making other young girls & women generate income.
