The ‘Belagavi First’ IT-BT Meet, organised by MLA Asif (Raju) Sait, was held with a focus on creating local employment and accelerating technology-led growth in Belagavi. Addressing the gathering, Minister Priyank Kharge reiterated the Karnataka government’s commitment to decentralising technology development beyond Bengaluru and assured full support to make Belagavi investment-ready. MLA Asif Sait highlighted the need to create meaningful career opportunities within the city so that local youth can work closer to home.
Discussions at the meet focused on developing IT infrastructure, promoting startups, strengthening skilling initiatives and improving coordination between government and industry. The initiative reflects a shared vision to position Belagavi as an emerging technology and employment hub for the region.
