Belagavi, Jan 13:
The nameboard of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been successfully reinstalled on the Old P.B. Road flyover in Belagavi, restoring the identity of one of the city’s key traffic corridors.
The unveiling ceremony was led by Mayor Mangesh Pawar and Deputy Mayor Vani Joshi, who formally revealed the restored signage in the presence of civic officials and local residents.

The reinstatement resolves earlier confusion following the removal of the board and reaffirms the flyover’s official designation as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Flyover. The structure plays a vital role in daily commuting and stands as an important symbol of Belagavi’s urban identity.
The development also aligns with ongoing civic initiatives in the city, including efforts by the Belagavi Cantonment Board to rename streets after national heroes as part of preserving cultural heritage and historical recognition.
