Belagavi: A tragic incident occurred near Dhamane village, where 18-year-old Nitin Shivram Patil drowned while swimming on Sunday evening. Upon receiving information, the Helpline Emergency Rescue Foundation (H.E.R.F) team immediately began a search operation early Monday morning.
The rescue operation started around 6 a.m., with the H.E.R.F team using their modern scooter boat and underwater search camera to trace the missing youth. After nearly an hour of continuous efforts, the team successfully located and recovered the body.
The mission was carried out with the assistance of the Belagavi Rural Police Station, ensuring coordination and safety at the site.
Team members Basavaraj Hiremath (Team Head), Padmaprasad Huli, Raju Takkekar, Kartik Patil, Avdhut Tudekar, and other dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to complete the operation successfully.
Their prompt response, teamwork, and use of advanced rescue equipment once again highlighted H.E.R.F.’s commitment to saving lives and serving the Belagavi region during emergencies.
