Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil on Tuesday protested against L&T Water Supply Company, alleging prolonged delays and substandard execution of pipeline work in the city. The project, ongoing for over six years, remains incomplete, causing severe inconvenience to the public.

Patil stated that roads excavated for pipeline laying have not been properly refilled or restored. Even temporary repairs reportedly last barely 15 days before the roads deteriorate again. Despite more than 10 review meetings held over the past two years, no permanent solution has been implemented.
Public anger is mounting as unsafe road conditions have led to multiple accidents, resulting in fractures and serious injuries to citizens. The MLA alleged that L&T has so far failed to commit to complete restoration of roads affected by the excavation work, raising concerns over public safety and accountability.
