Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait has officially inaugurated the ₹8 crore Nala Development and Lake Beautification Project at Kote Kere. The initiative aims to upgrade the drainage system, strengthen the nala structure, and enhance the overall environment around the lake.
According to officials, the project will play a key role in reducing waterlogging and flooding in surrounding areas including Shivaji Nagar, Veerbhadra Nagar, Asad Khan Society, Panji Baba locality, and nearby neighbourhoods.
Apart from improving water flow and safety, the development work is expected to transform the area into a cleaner and more attractive public space, benefiting both residents and visitors.
The project marks a significant step toward sustainable urban development and better civic infrastructure in the Belagavi North region.
