According to City Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering city limits during peak hours—from 7am to 11am and 3pm to 8pm. Strict enforcement action is being taken against violators under the Motor Vehicles Act.
To address congestion caused by private buses at busy junctions, the police have identified new designated pick-up and drop-off points. From January 27, private buses entering the city from outside must use specified locations, including pay-and-park areas and designated road stretches.

In addition, no-parking rules have been tightened on several high-traffic roads, while an alternate-day parking system has been introduced on select stretches to ensure smoother vehicular movement. Special enforcement drives will be carried out during peak hours, and citizens have been urged to cooperate by following traffic rules and parking guidelines.
