On Tuesday, the Belagavi district unit of the Karnataka Drivers’ Association submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, condemning the alleged assault. According to protesters, car driver Shivanand Arjun Kamble was assaulted by a sub-inspector and police personnel for allegedly parking in a no-parking zone, despite the absence of any no-parking sign at the location.

Protesters demanded the immediate suspension of the concerned police officials and justice for the driver. They warned of intensified agitation if their demands are not met. Authorities have not yet issued an official response, and further investigation is awaited.
