BCC Struggles to Meet Tax Target Despite Revenue Rise
Belagavi:The Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) collected Rs 70.8 crore in property tax for the financial year 2025–26, marking a slight increase from Rs 69.5 crore
It’s been one year since Covid-19 started its domination around the World . Recently, the United Kingdom and Nigeria have reported two different forms of coronavirus which is said to be stronger than the original one. Good news is that many of the countries are approving the vaccines for coronavirus developed by different pharma giants . India is not far away from getting it’s own covid vaccine. Two of the companies from India are in the final phase of testing the vaccine. Once the vaccines are approved, the distribution has to be done early to prevent this virus speeding future.
It is very difficult to store these vaccines once the supply starts. A Lot of storages have been set up in the state to match the demand of vaccines. One among them is our own Belagavi. The Health and Family welfare department of Belagavi district has set up a storage to store the vaccine in Belagavi City. This storage is reportedly said to supply the vaccine to eight other districts of North Karnataka. Those eight districts are Bagalkot, Dharwad, Vijayapur, Koppal, Haveri, Uttara Kannada and Gadag.
Reports say that the vaccine will be imported from Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. And then it will be supplied further. The storage centre is equipped with 180+cooler , defrizers and ice line refrigerators. Reports say that the temperature has to be maintained at 2 to 8 degree Celsius to store the vaccines
Let us hope that the vaccine arrives soon and this deadly virus vanishes once and forever.
