
4-Day Water Supply Disruption in Belagavi Due to Pipeline Work
Belagavi:Water supply in Belagavi city will be disrupted for four days starting Wednesday, April 1, due to ongoing underground main pipeline connection work, according to
10 bicycles donated to 25 children from remote Kajirne Dhangarwada in Chandgad Taluka. From the village of 25 Girls & boys on Kazirne Dhangarwada in the remote area of Chandgad taluka to Government New English High School (7/8 km) to Chandgad and back to school in the evening, the daily (15/16 km) walking through the forest road ended with ‘Operation Madat’.
Donors like Victor Francis, Baban Kugaji, Akshay Hunshikatti, Prasad Patil, Dr Surekha Pote, Chandrakant Dhamnekar, Dr Rajashree Angol, Gitanjali Redkar, Vijay Badra, Santosh Angolkar, Prashant Birje, Dr Ketaki Pavaskar helped to make this project a success.
Prasad Hooli, Santosh Darekar, Riksha Mama, Principal R I Patil, Sanjay Sabale, Sharad Hadagal, Mauli Transport, Belgaum Bison Jeepers group, villagers of Kazirne Dhangarwada and activists of ‘Operation Madat’ made valuable contributions.
Under ‘Grameen Shikshan Abhiyan’, various initiatives are being implemented by ‘Operation Madat’ to bring school children in remote areas into the stream of education. At present, guidance and assistance is being provided from time to time to the students of the school at Dhangarwada in the remote areas of Khanapur taluka and Chandgad taluka. Various organizations have taken the initiative part under ‘Operation Madat’. Distinguished experts in the fields of education, sports, arts and music should participate in this initiative and contribute to the future generation of the Indian country.
