Belagavi: Miscreants allegedly threw drugs and mobile phones into the premises of Hindalga Jail in Belagavi district during New Year celebrations and fled the scene. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. and was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the jail.

According to police sources, the accused had covered their faces with masks while carrying out the act. The incident has raised serious concerns over the supply of drugs and mobile phones to inmates inside the jail.
Police from the Belagavi Rural Police Station visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and have launched an investigation based on CCTV footage.
