March 20, 2026: Hotels and restaurants are facing a major crisis due to a disruption in commercial LPG supply caused by the ongoing war, forcing several establishments to shut down while others struggle to stay operational.
District Collector Mohammad Roshan convened an urgent meeting with hotel owners and gas suppliers to assess the situation. He stated that domestic consumers are currently being given priority, and commercial LPG supply will resume gradually. In the meantime, hotel operators have been urged to switch to alternative fuels to continue their services.

Hotel Owners’ Association President Ajay Pai said that shutting down businesses is not feasible and called for immediate intervention from the administration to support the industry.
Authorities have advised all hotel owners to adopt alternative fuel options until the gas supply normalizes. The ongoing crisis has raised concerns about potential job losses and financial instability in the hospitality sector.
