Dr. Sathe’s Aarogyamitra Foundation hosts Health Mela on 29th September 2024 , at Millennium Garden, Tilakwadi, Belagavi.
Dr. Sathe’s Aarogyamitra Foundation successfully hosted a day-long health and wellness event. This Health created awareness about preventive health by sharing authentic & accessible health information via workshops, activities, and competitions for participants of all ages as follows:
Walkathon – Was held in association with Inner Wheel club of Belgaum.
Wise Riders – Launch of Digital module of to create awareness about safe riding practices for youth through digital platforms.
Aarogya Mitra’s digital platforms – Launched with vital information like blood donors list, emergency services details.
Trauma Workshop – Dr. Kaustub Desai shared critical life-saving techniques.
Meme Competition on Road Safety – Results declared On the Topic of Road Safety.
Make an Athlete Program – Dr. Harpreet Kaur and Omkar Motor spoke to young individuals about pursuit of sports excellence with structured guidance.
Mental Health Workshop – Counsellor Natasha Ajgaonkar’s spoke about coping with mental health challenges. Gut Health – Dr. Varadaraj Gokak’s workshop gave insights into secrets of healthier gut.
Screen Time Management for Parents – Counsellor Dr. Ashwini Belgaumkar spoke supporting parental roles in modern times and about how children’s screen times needed to be managed.
Debate Competition – Topic was “Let’s talk health kept the spirit of intellectual dialogue alive among participants”.
Heart Zone (CPR demonstration) – Dr. Sameer Ambar and USV Pharma team provided crucial information on cardiac emergencies.
Jeevan-Vahini Kit – was launched by Dr. Sameer Ambar and esteemed chief guests.
The Grand Finale was graced by two esteemed Chief Guests: Dr. M.V. Jali, Medical Director & CEO, JNMC Belagavi, and Rtn.Avinash Potdar , Past ROTARY Disrict Governor, and Regional Foundation Coordinator. The foundation was introduced along with its ongoing and upcoming healthcare programs by Dr. Mrs. Varsha Sathe. The felicitation ceremony honored Health Heroes:
Mr.Venkatesh Patil Managing Director at Belgaum Oxygen Pvt. Ltd for his contributions during COVID , B.T Patil & Sons group for their contributions towards healthcare especially during Covid times Venugram Cycling Club for their contribution to health and fitness.
This was followed by recognition and felicitation of sports coaches:
Ashok Shintre Karnataka state secretary KREEDA Bharati, (Vice president) Karnataka state Athletic Association Banglore,
Vishwas Pawar esteemed Swimming coach,
Bhushan Anvekar Coach of Belgaum district badminton association, and
Sangam Baillor Belgaum table tennis academy, Hon. Secretary Belagavi district table tennis association for their dedication to sports was another notable moment. Lastly, the doctors who conducted the workshops were also felicitated for their valuable contributions.
The day ended with a Prize Distribution ceremony of new initiative called Embrace Wellness Challenge, recognition of Dr. Sachin Mahuli with the first Dr. Ashok Sathe Memorial Award, and followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Dr. Rahul Sathe
