Indigo’s New Belagavi Flights May Face Delays

Belagavi was expected to see a major boost in air connectivity with Indigo announcing two new daily direct flights to Mumbai and Hyderabad from 26 October 2025, alongside its existing Delhi service. However, the airline’s current operational challenges—staff shortages and adjustments to revised DGCA duty-time rules—have led to widespread flight cancellations across major airports, raising uncertainty about the timely launch of these new routes.

Aviation experts say new or recently introduced routes are often the first to face delays during large-scale schedule restructuring. This could affect the planned Belagavi–Mumbai and Belagavi–Hyderabad services until Indigo stabilizes its network, a process the airline expects to complete by February 2026.

Belagavi Airport currently connects to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Passengers are advised to keep an eye on updates. Meanwhile, sources indicate Indigo may announce a Belagavi–Navi Mumbai service once normal operations resume early next year.
