Jai Bapu Jai Bhim event Belagavi
The Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan convention, organized by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), will now take place on January 21, 2024, in Belagavi. The event was postponed to honor the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. It will celebrate the centenary of the historic 1924 Indian National Congress session held in the city.

Highlights of the Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Convention
First, the convention will emphasize the promotion of Gandhian values and the strengthening of unity within the Congress party. As part of the event, leaders will unveil a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. This will be a symbolic gesture to reaffirm their commitment to his principles. Additionally, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will release a book, which highlights the history of Congress sessions and seeks to inspire future generations.
Preparations Underway
To ensure the event’s success, a preparatory meeting will take place on January 13, 2024. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala will lead this session, which will include KPCC members, MLAs, ministers, and block Congress representatives. This meeting will finalize the arrangements and solidify the event’s structure.
Moreover, on January 15 and 16, ministers and party leaders will hold constituency-level meetings. These gatherings aim to strengthen party organization and ensure widespread participation from grassroots workers.
