Shops and Transport Remain Operational

Most shops, hotels, and commercial establishments stayed open, with no major disruptions in daily trade. The KSRTC bus stand remained busy, as buses to Karnataka destinations operated normally. However, services to Maharashtra were halted as a precautionary measure.

Many private vehicles were seen on the roads, and auto-rickshaws continued to provide services. Malls and shopping centers also remained open, indicating a lack of public support for the bandh.

Police Strengthened Security Across Key Locations

Authorities ensured tight security at important junctions such as the central bus stand, Rani Channamma Circle, and DC office. Additional police personnel were deployed to prevent disturbances and monitor the situation closely. However, no major incidents were reported.

Protests Held, But Public Participation Remained Low

The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Shivaramagouda faction) held a protest near the bus stand, demanding strict action against MES activities in Belagavi. The protesters shouted slogans and expressed their support for the bandh.

Despite these protests, the overall response was weak, with most residents choosing to continue their routine without disruptions.

Belagavi Continues Daily Activities Without Disruptions

While the bandh call had some support in other regions, Belagavi remained mostly unaffected, showcasing the city’s resilience and commitment to normalcy.
