The historic Kittur Utsav 2025 and 201st Vijayotsava celebrations were inaugurated today at Kakati, the birthplace of Kittur Rani Chennamma, a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.

PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholli inaugurated the event and expressed pride that Kakati, the sacred land of Rani Chennamma’s legacy, continues to host the symbolic beginning of the Kittur Utsav every year. This year, the organizers aim to spread the message of valor, patriotism, and women empowerment across Karnataka.
The three-day event features cultural performances, tributes to freedom fighters, and programs showcasing the richness of Kannada heritage. Additionally, it highlights the importance of preserving local history and inspiring the next generation.
Prominent dignitaries attended the event, including Shri Shivashiddha Someshwar Shivacharya Mahaswamiji of Muktimath, MLA Asif Seth, DC Rahul Shinde, SP Bhushanrao Borase, ZP CEO Rahul Shinde, and Zilla Panchayat President Vinay Navalagatti. Moreover, several officials, local leaders, and thousands of citizens gathered to celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm.
