The protest was held at Chennamma Circle, where thousands of surveyors from the Belagavi and Kalaburagi divisions participated and formed a human chain.
The protesters said that although they perform the same duties as government surveyors, they are paid significantly less. They pointed out that while government surveyors receive around ₹52,000 as salary, licensed surveyors are paid only about ₹12,000, making it difficult to sustain their livelihood.

Farmer leaders and members of various organizations also extended their support to the agitation.
The surveyors urged the government to ensure equal pay for equal work and warned that if their demands are not addressed, they will launch a larger protest in Bengaluru.
