Lokayukta raids in Belagavi
Belagavi: In a major crackdown on corruption, Lokayukta officials conducted raids on the residences of Belagavi North Sub-Registrar Sachin Manded and Raibag Veterinary Officer Sanjay Durgannavar on Friday. The action was taken following allegations of illegal wealth accumulation.

Multiple Locations Targeted in the Raids
Lokayukta SP Hanumantaraya led the operation, targeting Anagol, Harogeri, and Bellada Bagewadi. In Anagol, Lokayukta CPI Niranjan Patil supervised the search. Officers closely examined financial records, property documents, and other assets.
Authorities launched the raids after receiving specific complaints and conducting preliminary investigations. Their findings suggested that the officials possessed wealth exceeding their known sources of income. The searches focused on gathering evidence related to unaccounted assets, cash, jewelry, and property investments.
Statewide Crackdown on Corruption
The Lokayukta team expanded its anti-corruption drive across Karnataka. Officials simultaneously raided properties in Raichur, Belagavi, and Bengaluru. Their goal was to hold corrupt government employees accountable and recover undisclosed assets.
