Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash near Baramati on Wednesday morning. The aircraft, which was flying from Mumbai to Baramati, reportedly crashed during landing and caught fire.

According to reports, six people were on board the plane, including Pawar and his staff. Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but all occupants were reportedly declared dead. The incident occurred as Pawar was travelling to attend public meetings ahead of the Zilla Parishad elections.

Authorities have reportedly launched an investigation, and the exact cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed.
