Belagavi: Public Works Department and Belagavi District In-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi inaugurated a new shooting training centre of the Karnataka Police Department near Pashchapur village in the Yamakanamardi constituency on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, the minister said the establishment of the shooting training centre in Belagavi fulfills a long-standing need of the police department. He noted that earlier, police personnel had to depend on shooting ranges in other districts or facilities linked to the Army for training.
With the new centre in place, police personnel will be able to undergo shooting practice independently, which will significantly enhance their training efficiency and preparedness. The facility is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the overall training infrastructure of the Karnataka Police.
Belagavi Superintendent of Police Dr. Bhimashankar S. Guled, Additional Superintendent of Police R.B. Basaragi, Ashok Jhanjarwad, and other senior police officials were present at the inauguration.
