BELAGAVI, Nov 5: The Belagavi City Police have implemented new one-way traffic systems on DC Office Road and Court Road from November 4, 2025, to streamline vehicle movement and reduce congestion under the ongoing Smart City Project.

According to the official order, DC Office Road — from RTO Circle to DC Office Circle via Club Road — will now operate as a one-way, allowing movement only from RTO Circle towards the DC Office. Reverse traffic is strictly prohibited until further notice.
Similarly, Court Road — from Chennamma Circle to Court Circle — will also function as a one-way, and vehicles, especially four-wheelers and three-wheelers, are barred from moving from Court Circle towards Chennamma Circle.
These changes come as part of road improvement and traffic regulation measures being undertaken across the city to ensure smoother vehicular flow and enhanced public safety.
Traffic police have deployed additional personnel along both routes to guide commuters and prevent confusion during the initial days of implementation. Officials have urged motorists to follow traffic signs and cooperate with authorities to make the transition seamless.
Police have also stated that the one-way rule will remain in place until further orders, depending on the progress of Smart City development works.
