Speaking at a press conference, Roshan said the district’s daily requirement of domestic LPG cylinders is around 25,000, while the current supply stands between 20,000 and 22,000. He added that the supply situation is expected to stabilise further in the coming days and there is no need for advance bookings.
On commercial LPG, the DC noted that against a daily demand of 1,600 cylinders, only about 600 are currently available. However, steps are being taken to streamline supply. He said meetings have been held with hotel associations and oil companies, and authorities have seized 42 domestic cylinders that were being illegally used for commercial purposes.

Clarifying the fuel situation, Roshan stated that petrol and diesel stocks are sufficient across the district’s 560 fuel stations, including 50 within city limits. He added that if any outlet runs dry, replenishment can be arranged within five hours.
City Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase also warned against hoarding and illegal sale of fuel in bottles or cans, stating that strict action will be taken against violators. Authorities further cautioned the public against storing fuel at home, calling it illegal and hazardous, and urged citizens not to spread rumours on social media.
