The Chief Minister urged legislators to prioritize solutions during the discussions scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. These special sessions will focus on North Karnataka issues and aim to provide clarity and direction for developmental efforts in the region.

D.K. Shivakumar Criticizes BJP’s Approach to North Karnataka Issues

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar accused the BJP of neglecting North Karnataka issues. Speaking at Hubballi airport, he said BJP leaders have divided themselves into factions and lack a clear plan for regional development. Shivakumar added that their focus remains on politics rather than meaningful discussions in the legislature.

Update on Mahadayi and Mekedatu Projects Amid North Karnataka Development

Shivakumar provided updates on Karnataka’s major water projects. He stated that the state government has completed preparations to begin work on the Mahadayi project. He urged Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to help secure permits.

Shivakumar also called for support from BJP leaders to push forward the Mekedatu project. He emphasized that all parties must work together to ensure Karnataka’s development initiatives progress without delays, especially for North Karnataka issues.

The three-day session is expected to highlight critical North Karnataka issues and set the stage for transformational steps in the region’s growth.
