Belagavi: Rani Channamma University is set to host its 14th convocation on Tuesday at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. Former ISRO chairman A. S. Kiran Kumar will deliver the convocation address, while Governor and Chancellor Thaawar Chand Gehlot will preside. Higher Education Minister Dr. M. C. Sudhakar will also be present.

Vice Chancellor Prof. C. M. Thyagaraja announced that 38,485 degrees will be awarded, including 36,642 undergraduate and 1,843 postgraduate degrees. The event will also see the presentation of 39 gold medals, four toppers’ awards, and 28 doctoral degrees.
The university oversees 372 affiliated colleges across Belagavi and Vijayapura districts, with a student strength of 1.39 lakh. RCUB has received ₹100 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan to support its academic development.
