Belagavi: With Belagavi emerging as one of Karnataka’s fastest-growing cities, traffic congestion has become a major concern. In view of the city’s overall development, the
Laxmi Hebbalkar strikes another goal towards the betterment of the society, as she adopts three government schools in Belagavi Taluk and also is looking forward to develop them at the cost of 74 Lakh Rupees.
The schools that have been adopted are as mentioned, Somavva Angadi Karnataka public School in K K Koppa, and Government Highschool in Sulebhavi and Marathi Primary School in Belagundi village.
These schools shall undergo a process to be able to set a mark about how government schools need to look like. Education department had introduced School Adoption Scheme’ under Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan programme couple of years ago, to be able to lend a helping hand to the schools in need.
Recently Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa also launched a government school adoption program which was jointly organized by the State Public Instruction Department and Samagra Shikshana Karnataka.
So with the help of all these programs the schools will get their renovation, with installation of CCTV cameras, smart boards, Computers, etc. The request for the same has been submitted, and is waiting for the confirmation of government for the same.
