
MP Shettar Objects to Private Flower Market in Belagavi
Belagavi, Feb 14: Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar has written to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh objecting to the allotment of land for a private wholesale flower
On the occasion of 50th Vijay Diwas i.e 16th December 2021 the chief minister of Karnataka Sri Basavaraj Bommai visited the Maratha Light Infantry, Belagavi to recall the great valour and sacrifice by the Indian Armed forces and the joint forces of Muktijoddhas and Biranganas who together defeated the oppressive forces of Pakistan in 1971 which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
Chief Minister Sri. Basavaraj Bommai in his speech remembered the display of courage and strength of the Indian Armed forces and also saluted the sacrifices of our martyrs in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. He also threw light on the events of this historical war which lasted for 13 long days resulting in the surrender of 93,000 Pakistan Soldiers on 16th December, 1971.
