In his letter, Mr. Ashok said several important matters, including development-related problems in North Karnataka, the alleged failure of law and order, and poor utilisation of government grants, are yet to be discussed. He noted that the Chief Minister and Ministers still need to respond to issues raised by legislators.

The session, which began on December 8, is scheduled to conclude on December 19 but was cut short by two days following the death of two sitting MLAs.
Mr. Ashok also highlighted delays in issuing ration cards, stating that over 3.22 lakh applications remain pending across Karnataka, with a significant number from North Karnataka and Bengaluru. He said these issues warrant extended deliberation and called for the session to be prolonged by a week.
