Belagavi, March 5: Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived at Sambra Airport in Belagavi on Thursday during his visit to Karnataka. He is scheduled to participate in a religious program being held at Yedur village in Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district.

On his arrival, the Vice President was received by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, District In-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi, Rajya Sabha Member Iranna Kadadi, and Belagavi Mayor Mangesh Pawar. Regional Commissioner Janaki K.M. and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan were also present along with other senior officials.
During his visit, the Vice President is expected to attend the religious ceremony and interact with temple authorities and dignitaries. Security arrangements were tightened at the airport and in surrounding areas in view of the high-profile visit.
