The temples proposed for development include Shri Balbheem Temple at Kulgod, Shri Mahalaxmi Temple at Musaguppi, Shri Jadisiddeshwar Temple at Sunadholi, and Shri Ghatge Basaveshwar Temple at Kulgod. These centuries-old temples attract lakhs of devotees every year, but lack adequate basic infrastructure, causing inconvenience to visitors.
Acting on public demand from his constituency, Shetter urged the Union Tourism Ministry to take up comprehensive development of these religious sites to improve facilities and boost tourism.

During the meeting, Shetter also expressed gratitude to the Centre for approving development works worth ₹214 crore for the Savadatti Shri Renuka Yellamma Devi temple, with contributions from both central (₹118 crore) and state (₹96 crore) governments.
He further highlighted the religious importance of Shabarikolla in Ramdurg taluk and requested its inclusion in future development plans.
Union Minister Shekhawat assured that the proposal would be examined and appropriate action would be taken.
