Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan, addressing a workshop at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha on Friday, said enumeration forms had been distributed to around 41 lakh voters across the district’s 18 Assembly constituencies through 4,525 Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Of the forms distributed, 35,93,561 have been digitised.
The district has identified 36,476 unmapped voters, 1,34,903 deceased voters, 26,459 absent voters and 2,83,249 permanently migrated voters. Details of deceased, absent and migrated voters have already been submitted to the concerned officials, Roshan said.
Voters whose names do not appear in the draft electoral roll can submit Form 6 along with the required documents. Roshan urged BLOs and representatives of political parties to work responsibly to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls.
Notices to be issued from August 24
From August 24, notices will be issued to voters whose records have no link or relative mapping. BLOs have been directed to personally deliver the notices and upload photographs through the designated mobile application, including images showing the voter’s signature and submission of documents.
As per the verification requirements, persons born in India before July 1, 1987, will have to submit documents establishing their own eligibility.
Those born between July 1, 1987, and December 2, 2004, will have to submit their own documents along with documents establishing the date and place of birth of either their father or mother.
Roshan directed officials to conduct verification of such notices carefully and record the proceedings in the designated software. He also asked officials to make efforts to dispose of grievances related to the exercise within 15 to 20 days.

Objections open for one month
Siddu Hulloli, DC of Belagavi City Corporation and a resource person at the workshop, said objections would be accepted for one month after publication of the draft electoral roll on August 24.
He said 126 additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) had been appointed for the district’s 18 Assembly constituencies.
Arrangements will also be made at ward and gram panchayat levels to hear grievances related to the notices, officials said.
