Belagavi Member of Parliament Iranna Kadadi had requested the Indian Railways to shift the departure platform of the Belagavi–KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express to Platform No. 1 at Belagavi Railway Station, considering the convenience of differently-abled passengers, senior citizens, women, and passengers traveling with children.

While the train already arrives at Platform No. 1 during its return journey, the Railways have decided to operate its departure from Platform No. 2 instead of Platform No. 1, citing operational constraints. However, MP Iranna Kadadi stated that his efforts will continue until the train is allowed to depart from Platform No. 1 as well.
In a positive development, the Railways have accepted the request to revise the train’s departure time. Accordingly, the departure time has been changed from 9:15 PM to 10:00 PM. The MP expressed his gratitude to the South Western Railway officials on behalf of the people of the district for approving the revised timing.
