Belagavi traffic advisory

Belagavi is set to host the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” convention on January 21, 2025. To ensure smooth traffic flow during the event, the city’s Traffic Department has announced important regulations in its latest advisory.

Restricted Routes
The following roads will be accessible only to vehicles participating in the convention:
- Chennamma Circle
- Club Road
- Gandhi Circle
- Shaurya Circle
- Sharkat Park
- Globe Theatre
Non-convention vehicles are advised to use alternative routes, such as those via Shani Mandir or Bhatkande School.
Heavy Vehicle Restrictions
As part of the traffic advisory, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the city from 5:00 AM onwards on January 21 until the event concludes.
Drop-off and Parking Arrangements
Vehicles ferrying participants can drop them off at Deshpande Khuta or Gandhi Circle. After dropping off passengers, vehicles must proceed via Shaurya Circle and park along Devur Road via College Road.
Authorities Prepare for Increased Crowds
The city expects significant traffic due to the convention. To manage the situation, the Traffic Department has deployed additional personnel across Belagavi. Officials have placed signboards and barricades along the roads to assist commuters.
