The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the allotment of 1 acre of land in Hindalga, located in the Belagavi Rural constituency, for the construction of a new Congress Bhavan. The land, situated at R.S. No. 189/1, will be transferred to the Congress Bhavan Trust, Bengaluru, at just 5% of the government guidance value — offering major relief to the party’s local unit.
Law and Tourism Minister H.K. Patil said the proposal, pending for several years, was essential to meet the organizational needs of the party in Belagavi Rural. He added that the new Congress Bhavan will strengthen grassroots activities and serve the community in Hindalga.

The upcoming facility is expected to include an auditorium, meeting halls, office space for party workers, and a secure records room. Once the land transfer process is completed, construction of the Congress Bhavan is expected to begin, providing a dedicated center for rural meetings, training programs, and outreach activities.
