Belagavi: A minor technical issue disrupted the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations at the District Stadium on Saturday when the jeep carrying District In-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi broke down due to a diesel leak, moments before he was scheduled to inspect the parade.

Fire and emergency personnel acted swiftly, spraying fire-control gas to prevent any flare-up and manually moving the jeep away from the event area. The prompt response helped avert a potential mishap.
Before the incident, Minister Jarkiholi had offered prayers to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari and hoisted the state flag to mark Karnataka Rajyotsava.
Although the inspection drive was canceled, the minister viewed the impressive parade organized by the Belagavi Police, KSRP, NCC, Scouts, Guides, and students from various schools. The event continued smoothly under tight security and a festive atmosphere.
