Shanam Horakeri of Belgaum has definitely proved that to us. Born and brought up in a simple family, she went to St. Xaviers High School, and further GSS College. She is a software Engineer by profession.
After her education she got married to Mr. Modinsab Horakeri and gave a birth to a very healthy baby, while she continued to work for a Pune based company Bluebenz. She deep inside cherished a dream to be different from the rest and came across the auditions taking place for Mrs. India. They were conducted in all the major cities of India and around 150 Contestants participated, however, Shanam managed to get shortlisted in top 6 and also won the title Mrs. India and Mrs. Congeniality along with many hearts.
Team Marvelous Belgaum congratulates her on this achievement and also thanks for setting up an example for all the women out there, that there can be no hurdle big enough that you can’t get over.
So we would want you to know that it is very important to dream, even if it seems impossible. Because only if you dream there might be chances to work on it and make it come true. Do not be afraid to be slow, be afraid to not start at all.
