Women have been told that they only fit well in the kitchen and should limit themselves in the boundaries. But if women wish they can even change the world, forget about norms.
One such girl from our Belgaum city is Isha Sharma, she who made it big internationally in one such event which definitely is not everybody’s cup of tea. During the time of Isha’s graduation she was titled as Miss Belgaum 2007. At this period she developed interest in racing and in upcoming day she made it as her passion and kept working towards it. Isha Sharma the champ born and brought up in Belgaum.
Isha got her first opportunity in year 2019 to represent India in Dubai 24 hours endurance race.
Giving her best in to this competition she got to podium and finished this championship. Due to the pandemic she could not participate in first three rounds but she decided to go ahead for the fourth round. Isha Sharma was the only girl among 8 racers who’s represented India in Dubai 24 endurance race.
Isha has won JK national sodi kart championship in 2019 women class, stood 2nd runner up at Dubai 24 endurance while she had only done just did the iron man practice for 1 hour but due to the injury in her hand she was not considered eligible to participate.
However she managed to be the team’s pit crew member and her team red rabbit racers won 2 trophies for India in 2020. She also participated in 3 events of Redbull and won 2 of them, Won clash of karts in Indi karting Mumbai, And like said she is selected as a co driver in INRC 2020, which is completely sponsored by the INRC promotor Mr. Vamcy merla and she will now be going again to Dubai endurance April end 2021.
With all this she didn’t stop now she is striking another goal by being the first person from Belgaum ever to be selected for INRC, which is a very proud moment for all the Belgaumites.
