Shettar Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects in Belagavi

Belagavi, May 7 – Lok Sabha MP Jagadish Shettar chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review the progress of key infrastructure projects in Belagavi district. The meeting included senior officials from National Highways, Railways, Civil Aviation, and the district administration.

Road Projects Get a Push
To begin with, Shettar urged officials to speed up the road work between Honaga and Jadashahapur. He also asked the concerned department to complete land acquisition on this stretch without delay.
Moreover, he stressed the need to finish the 9-km Halaga–Mache road quickly. This road, he said, is vital for improving local travel and reducing congestion.
Additionally, he reviewed the 43-km Belagavi (Shegunamatti)–Hungunda–Raichur route. He instructed officials to wrap up land acquisition work soon so that construction can start without further delay.
Support for the Sankam Flyover
Furthermore, Shettar expressed strong support for uninterrupted work on the proposed flyover near Hotel Sankam. He said this project is important for easing traffic and will greatly benefit daily commuters in Belagavi.
