New Agricultural College in Athani

The government plans to conduct a feasibility study for establishing an agricultural college in Athani taluk, Belagavi district. To ensure smooth execution, experts will oversee the setup.

Support for Sugarcane Farmers

Authorities will implement integrated soil and water management measures across 3,000 hectares. They will collaborate with sugar factories in Belagavi, Bagalkote, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, and Mandya to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability.

Major Investments in Railway Projects

Karnataka has allocated ₹600 crore for railway projects in 2025-26. The state will partner with Indian Railways on nine projects under a 50:50 cost-sharing model, contributing ₹9,847 crore toward the total project cost of ₹16,235 crore. These investments will improve connectivity and drive economic growth.

Tourism Development Initiatives

The government has earmarked ₹50 crore to enhance tourism across 10 districts. Officials will focus on developing beaches in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada to attract more visitors and support local businesses.

This budget reinforces Karnataka’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure, empowering farmers, and boosting tourism while accelerating Belagavi’s overall development.
