Hebbalkar, also President of the Malaprabha Irrigation Advisory Committee, stated that the reservoir’s full capacity ensures no water shortage for drinking, livestock, or agriculture, even during the summer. She credited Renuka Yallamma Devi’s blessings for this year’s success.

In addition to the secure water supply from Naviluteertha Reservoir, Hebbalkar announced plans to enhance the area surrounding the reservoir. These plans include the creation of parks and seating areas for visitors, inspired by the development around the KRS Dam. This would not only promote tourism but also offer locals a recreational space. Hebbalkar also shared her vision to make the reservoir a model project that combines utility and leisure.

Local MLAs, including S. H. Konareddy from Navalgund and Vishwas Vaidya from Yallamma constituency, expressed their support for the project. They pledged to secure additional government funding to ensure the continued development of the reservoir, which will benefit thousands of residents. Their combined efforts aim to make the Naviluteertha Reservoir water supply more reliable and the site more attractive to visitors.

With the reservoir playing a crucial role in the well-being of North Karnataka, these initiatives aim to secure a better future for the region. The combined focus on water security and infrastructural development promises a lasting impact on both local residents and visitors.
