“Everything when moving has its meaning,
what’s static is tragic,
Developed is a mythical statement,
what’s in progress is what is the Developed”
It’s “World Development Information Day” of the year 2020! The year that won’t be forgotten because of the extremities that it caused. Yes, we are changing, getting better, day after the other. But there is this time when we almost see ourselves as perfect, and Boom! We are back to square zero.
Information and Communication are vital. They have the potential to provide solutions to development challenges, and in particular to globalization, they are known to pace economic growth and has its prominent role to play in the integration of all countries. However what is more crucial is the need for information, technology, and communication to be able to be a global source to those in need.
Why is World Development Information important?
Too many problems, almost every problem the solution could be proper information, and use of rational and technical sensibilities, which is why this day should be celebrated to foster the use of information as a tool to resolve the problems.
The problem could be anything, ranging from social to economic to even political, but with proper usage of data and communication, there is nothing that cannot be resolved. This is why in the year 1972, the General Assembly established World Development Information Day.
Being informed is always important. It helps you through out from the very basic things to the extremely complex situations, so celebrate this day with a purpose.
Team Marvelous Belgaum is always in the support of the spreading needed and righteous information.
