It’s been a while that all the Belgaumites are getting back to their routine job, travelling in and around without worrying about Corona as the vaccine is out and vaccination drive is running in its full speed. However, people who are visiting Belagavi from neighboring states are still worrying about Corona.
What exactly happened?
Some of our neighbors i.e. Maharashtra and Kerala are facing a huge surge in the rate of positive cases of Covid-19. Recently, other states like Punjab and UT Chandigarh are also facing the same issue of huge spike in Covid cases. This has become a headache to the state government as it has been managing Corona successfully when compared with these states and UT. So the Government of Karnataka has decided that every person entering from these above mentioned states and UT must and should receive a negative report.
What should one do if he is traveling to Belagavi or Karnataka from these states?
Any person entering Karnataka through any mode of transport, be it flight, railway, bus or any other commercial or personal vehicle should carry a RT-PCR Covid-19 negative test which should not be older than 72 hours.
The state government has informed the flight companies to not board those passengers who don’t have the negative report. It has also informed Railway officials and Bus conductors to not allow the passengers without Covid negative report in Railways and Buses respectively.
