Belagavi: Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla requesting that no action be taken against Belagavi Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan in connection with a privilege complaint filed by Maharashtra MP Dhairyasheel S. Mane.

In a press release, Shettar said the complaint was submitted after the Deputy Commissioner issued prohibitory orders restricting Mane’s visit to Belagavi. He urged the Speaker to examine the issue in detail and ensure that no action is initiated against the DC based on the complaint.
Shettar maintained that the prohibitory orders were imposed purely to maintain law and order and to ensure peace and harmony in the district.
