Aequs ₹2,856 Cr Investment Boosts Belagavi Aerospace

Belagavi: In a major boost to Karnataka’s industrial growth, Aequs Limited has announced plans to invest ₹2,856 crore over the next five years to expand its manufacturing operations in the state. The expansion will primarily focus on Belagavi and Hubballi, further strengthening the region’s position in advanced manufacturing.

The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Aequs and the Government of Karnataka on March 26, 2026. The state government has assured support by facilitating necessary approvals and clearances for the project.

Belagavi, already home to Aequs’s Special Economic Zone, will continue to play a key role in aerospace component manufacturing. Meanwhile, Hubballi is expected to emerge as a hub for electronics and consumer durable production.

The investment is likely to generate employment opportunities, boost local businesses, and enhance supply chains across North Karnataka. It also reinforces Belagavi’s growing reputation as a major aerospace hub in India.

While the MoU is non-binding, further developments are expected as the company moves towards securing approvals and finalizing project timelines. Industry experts are closely watching the project for its potential impact on Karnataka’s manufacturing landscape.
