The clarification comes after a news report highlighted difficulties faced by auto drivers due to alleged fuel scarcity. Following this, food department inspectors conducted inspections at six fuel stations across the district. Their findings confirmed that both CNG and auto LPG are adequately stocked.

Officials identified that the issue stemmed from a technical problem with the gas filling nozzle at a station near RTO Circle (Shilpa Go Gas). The station owner has since repaired the nozzle and resolved the issue, providing written confirmation to authorities.

The administration has urged auto drivers not to panic, reiterating that there is no shortage of fuel in Belagavi city.
