Belagavi, Karnataka: Tension gripped the premises of the 2nd Additional District Court in Belagavi after four men convicted in a murder case allegedly tried to attack TV cameramen on Wednesday evening.

The accused—Basavaraj Daddi, Basavanni Nayak, Naveen Daddi, and Laxman Daddi, all from Mutyanatti—reportedly turned aggressive soon after the court pronounced them guilty. As media personnel attempted to capture visuals, the accused allegedly tried to push away cameras and hurled abuses at journalists.
The incident occurred while the convicts were being escorted under police security, raising concerns over the safety of media personnel on duty. The situation briefly turned tense within the court premises.
Following strong condemnation from the media fraternity, the Market Police in Belagavi have registered an FIR against all four accused.
